Caring for the Artwork
Paintings should be stored away from direct sunlight and moisture. Clean with a dry, soft cloth.
Stairs to Nowhere is a deeply personal self-portrait exploring the uncertainty of the journey, ambition and the search for direction.
The figure moves through a world of intense color and geometric forms, while the staircase leads upward without revealing its destination. It becomes a metaphor for the paths we choose, the dreams we pursue and the moments when we move forward without knowing exactly where we will arrive.
The contrast between the monochromatic figure and the vibrant, almost surreal background reflects the relationship between the inner self and the colorful, constantly changing world around us. The woman appears caught between movement and stillness — looking back, yet continuing forward.
This work represents the courage to climb even when there is no clear destination.
